TTA Underhood Goodies?
TTA Underhood Goodies?
Curious.
Do the TTA come with any type of underhood bracing? Like a 60's-70's Mustang "LeMans" bars brace?
My hood flexes like a girl without a bra.
Only analogy I could think of.
I'd kinda like to stiffen up that shake.
I know of the subframe items, That's a lotta work, for the moment.
Or could this action, be, because I removed all the braces behind the front bumper?

If you are talking about a strut tower brace or some kind of bars that run under the hood I can say that my TTA has none of these.

I've seen them for the V-8 cars.
What about for our V-6 cars?
Any need?
Any "worth it" effort?

Well, since a STB doesn't really care what engine is under it, I would say a Hotchkis or Edelbrock STB will fit our cars. I believe the only issue would be where the brace sits in regard to the plenum (or air filter for carb), but it isn't a big deal cause the brace doesn't bolt to the plenum.

I may be mistaken (I have to say this first always now since I got SCHOOLED about the FWD 3.4...), but I believe the TTA pacecars only came with a factory STB of sorts. But, a good ol' Hotchkis one meant for the TPI should work just dandy.

don't forget that 60* motors actually are TALLER than a 90* degree motor. clearance could be an issue. don't know for sure......

Yes, V-6 intakes are taller, different location of intake system which affects the strut brace. That's a detail I do know.
The throttle body V-8 are "lower" just a different angled position.

What would he make it from?
Where would it be connected to?
Would it be like a Mustang, a 3 point?
Distriburtor area, and the two shock towers?
DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK IT'S WORTH IT?
Does anyone elses hood and dash bounce like a girl without a bra?
And we have kinda flat roads here in LA area!

The guy is in Amish Country?
Used to live kinda close by there.
I'll have to find a pic of a set up.
The hood latch is quite secure and so are the dash screws. When these cars were new, this was a big complaint, the hood flex. Really made the cars appear cheap.

What tyoe of tubing?
As any muffler can also make it.
Is it tubing like plumbing pipes?
I know better quality, but..
Are you getting the idea?
Wuld the design be like an arrow?
Shock towers, by the distributor?
The Mustangs had two braces, connected to the firewall.
Early F Bodies, had braces to the battery area to the radiator support.
Amish country is really pretty. I miss those scenes alot.
Not riding behind those horse and carriages!
