Thought fromt he TPI boards...

Hey guys, I'm still lurking. Complete 6-banger withdrawal.

Anyway, has anyone ever considered siamesing the upper and lower plenums, or possibly the lower plenum to intake manifold? I've just been looking at some tips and tricks they do with the TPI intakes, and I'd think it'd work great on the V6 ones, too. These guys are lunatics with dremels, I swear!!!!

Just a thought, if anyone is interested, I've got lots of crazy ideas, so ask. MY head is still in MPFI mode, I guess.

If you do this then it is possible that you could lose velocity of the incoming air. Even though the runners could carry more air then they wouldn't be able to go as fst. As the cross sectional area decrease the velocity and pressure increase but this will only be beneficial to a certain point. I would just get the runners by accel and do a little porting. One of my firends is doing that to his 89 GTA.

Problem is, V6's don't have runners so to speak, I'm recommending this for your guys' benefit.

As for myself, I spent the latter half of the night looking at dyno graphs, and there seems to be nothing but a benefit in siamesing and porting the heck out of the TPI system.
