egr valve bypass for headers on 2.8

egr valve bypass for headers on 2.8

i got those hooker super competition headers and am having them coated at jet hot but i see on my passenger side that the exhaust manifold has a hookup to go to the intake.well i already had someone weld a nut on for my o2 sensor but will i need this egr valve or what will i get a service engine soon light?

yo bub... are those headers for the s-10 v6 2.8? if so, how did u get them in? any mods needed like bending or anything? I've got a set sitting in the garage cuz i cant find anyone to put them in for me. Also do you have an auto or manual? thanks!

Mods: Hpertech chip and powerstat, MSD 6A-L, Crane fireball coil, Dynomax hi-flow cat and catback system with a dynomax magnum race bullet muffler on the i-pipe, K&N filterchargers, Eibach and Tokiko springs/shocks setup, Global west sub frames, Suspension techniqs front and rear sway bars, and good ole 88 IROC wheels with Kumo Ecstas on em!

no they dont make these for the v6 anymore i think the last production of these headers was 1992 there made for 82-92 v6.i bought them from mike harvey on this board and there still new, never been used.

mah bad... i read it wrong.. some how i thought it was the hedman headers... its cool thought. but by any chance would u know anything about putting those on our cars? thanks

dont quote me on this but! i believe that even if you do get a set of headman headers to fit on your car from a 2.8 blazer. that the power gain will probably be low to mid range hp-tq so i dont think youll want that.

The headers will help your power all the way around. It WILL help with upper range because it is breathing (crapping) better.

it depends on the tube sizes, also if the tubes are all the same lengths, equel flow,
some people think they can just slap a header kit together and gain somthing .but allot of the time you can loose power because the cam,headers,muffler, ect,,, dont match up right so its possible to very likley
loose power than to gain by putting truck headers on a f-body v6.
