hmm HelP!

changed the rockers this weekend..pulled the valve covers off (after 2 hrs of pulling crap off to get to em) and i put the new rockers on and set the valve lash. put everything back it starts and dies. you can hold it idling with your foot. Friend says it sounded like a vacuum leak. One of my emissions hoses broke in half when doing this and isnt connected. Could this be the thing thats causing it? Maybe something else? The rockers dont have any problems themselves, just most likely an error on my part when putting everything back in...(id rather see about those emissions hoses before pulling stuff back off...)

I'd say vacuum leak.

I agree.
Get 5/16" windshiled wiper hose to fix most of the cracked hoses.
Be prepared for more cracked hoses as you work on them.
Be real patient with them. They snap, really really easy. You should see my band aided hoses. Lots of 5/16" section!
Oh a good tip, before you slip the rubber over the plastic hose, slip a film of motor oil on the plastic, really helps the hoses go on easier.
