Air Temp Sensor?

Air Temp Sensor?
Hmm.. Okay so there is this little sensor thing right before the MAF Sensor on my 88 350 TPI. Its on the plastic air filter cover. Its disconnected and I was just wondering what it was... Thanks in advance.

Most likely the IAT. V6s had them mounted up there, maybe someone swaped out the stock cover. Look at the passenger side rear of your plenum, on the underside should be a sensor, that is the stock location of the IAT.
