Anyone with Dynomax cat-back, question for ya..
Let me know if this is true. I saw on another post that to install the I-pipe from Dynomax #17943 on a V6 car, you have to get a hanging bracket for a V8 car. Someone please let me know if I should hit the junk yard this weekend.
Thanks.

I bet that was my post...
Yep, you need the right rear hanger. Some V6's have a right rear hanger that looks like a rubber oval with holes; the pipe is hung into the oval with a metal rod that goes "left to right".
V8's (with dual exhaust!) had a rectangle that fit against the rear upper frame rail, and didn't "hang down" like the rubber oval. The metal rod on the I-pipe slidese into the hanger "front-to-back". I found it easier to install the I-pipe first, then slide the hanger on, and finally, bolt the hanger to the right rear upper frame rail. It uses the same bolt holes & bolts as your V6 hanger.
So crawl under your car and check out the type of hanger you have... if you have the rubber oval, you need to replace it. I believe GM sells these new, too. I got two out of a junkyard for $5 total.
