Hey this is just a wild idea. I know people use aftercooler to cool the air after a turbocharger or supercharger, but I was wondering if it would do any good by itself. And I think I have a good idea of how to buid my own with a old radiotor and some tubing...well class is starting. Ill post the rest of my idea later.

 

I am doubting it....go with CAI and it is the same thing...(cold air Induction)

 

just a quick post from moi to keep the ol' account active.. whattya know, contrary to popular belief i am still alive, not necessarly well, but alive nonetheless.. :P

anyway good idea but it really wouldnt do any good really.. if you think about how a intercooler works, your using air to cool air.. both of your air sources are from the same place, thus the same temp.. however with superchargers or turbos running a lot of boost the air coming out will be warmer than that going in and cooling it down will help..

 

The only thing it would by itself is cause one of the biggest darn intake restrictions you'll ever see.

Ok..thanks..it was just an idea. Maybe one of these days something good will hit me and I could make a lot of money off of it.

 

How about a mini-exhaust turned AC compressor running through an intercooler like setup to cool the incoming air?
