4th gen A/C in a 3rd gen car?

I was wondering if any air conditioning parts from a 3.4 or 3.8 would fit my 90 3.1 Camaro. Thanks

WHY?
Sorry...
But, if ya have all the AC parts on your car, just match them up to what you seek.
It's quite possible, none, may.
These car are from a different body platform and alot may not interchange, due to new technology/different standards being used.
PLUS, one may use R-12 & one MAY use R-134. That's enough of a difference, to make it so.

Yah Ked, but his AC may be out, and he may have a 4th gen in a local wrecking yard for cheap.

Yeah, something tells me the stuff won't interchange. I'm sure all these following probabilities are true, besides the R-134a differences:

1. Compressor has a different mounting bracket to it
2. The hard pipes are shaped differently
3. The hoses won't reach where they should
4. Different size condensor (in front of radiator)
5. Different size evaporator (against firewall, in heater/evaporator box)
6. Different heater/evap box
7. Different wiring for heater controls
8. Different sensors for high-pressure & low-pressure

You should be able to get the stuff out of a wrecking yard for dirt cheap, too. A/c stuff isn't too big on the "get it!" list.

HONEST, that was the type of response I was seeking to help our buddy get the real skinny on what could/could not work.
This is one reason why I had to modify my 3.4 engine swap plans.
Somethings will work, some will not. Some are not worth the effort.
Besides the R-12 & R-134, there just plain ol' may be alot of little differences, to make it not worth the final effort.
BUT GRAB THAT 3.4 BLOCK!!!!! It's gold, my friend!
Please, understand, it wasn't meant for the response to be taken, harsh.
