Camaro GTZ???

as we all know, this was an 80's camaro showcar that was propelled by a H.O. v-6

i am thinking about calling my camaro this once i squeeze power out of the 6

i wanna do this because i am gonna get the aero-wing (91-92 Z28, hood blisters, bowtie grill and SS/ZR-1 wheels and i ain't gonna put Z-28 emblems on it cuz then i would fell like an A$$ (some kid put GT emblems on his 4 cylinder Rustang at skool and me and my friend laugh at him)

I wondering if anyone knows where i can get custom emblems made

That's pretty cool. Sorry, i don't know where emblems can be made, but if you find out let me know. I'd love to be part of the GTZ family.

Were there any "GTZ" logos on Beretta GTZ's???

If not, I know you can get "Z26" logos from a Beretta Z26...the replacement for the GTZs. That would keep the 6 theme up nicely

Come on guys, you flame import drivers who do stuff like this....its just like putting a "TYPE R" badge on an Accord, or me getting a "FIREHAWK" decal on my car.

Yep, you guys will be labeled riceboys. Plus, minus the Z, GT has to be the gayest, most overly used trim level known to man.

i'm not doing this for looks.......

i wanna do it to give my camaro some revelance to a H.O. v-6 camaro

hey, if i had a 502 or a 427 under the hood,
i'd be calling my camaro a ZL-1

and all i want are factory appearance emblems to replace the RS on my rocker panels and rear bumper

not some freakin thing written in Swahili on my windshield that supposedly says camaro or something

just 3 nice little emblems with a factory appearance

I have to Agree that naming you car something it isn't is um GAY.
OK now that I got that out of my systenm I see no reason why not to claim A suspension, ie WS6 or and enginine ZL1 for badges on your car if you have them. I am unaware of any Z-28 that had a V6 in it. If I were you I would leve it as an RS, besides the RS embles are recessed into the panels and your new wmblems would have to have the same profile to match.

Do you think If I put Powered by Buick on my TTA it would make it faster?

Actually, GM does still sell "GTZ" emblems for the Beretta GTZ's...

The P/N you'll want is: 10173582

Hope that helps.

that would be like me calling my car a TurboII
is it
not really
yes I am using the turbo motor but is my car still really a real TII???
nope

even though I share a lot of the same stuf with the turbo cars that a few of the bsae mods do not have I am still not a true TII and I think calling your car something it is not really kinda *****

I mean yeah I can see you doing it IF you made EVERYTHING on the car like that but even then it is kinda *****

you at this point are doing something no different then a accord puting a type r badge on his car. he's not a true type are but trying to be one or atleast look like one.

and what is up? does nobody do the sleeper thing anymore?
you would never know my car had a turbo in it unless I rev at you or you look at my front grill and see my FMIC sitting there
I dont have the hood scoop like the turbos have. my paint is faded a bit up top few scratches on it, ( anyone want to be nice and give me money for a paint job?... and a new motor ) not really any indication that I have a turbo in there.

if you want to make your car look nice by putting a wing on it or something of gfx that's fine but dont really like the idea of putting badges on the car when it is not really that type of car

just my .02 but to each there own

I say go for it. Its YOUR car. Not anyone on this boards. Do what YOU WANT to it. If you have the underparts of the original GTZ concept then go for it. Make YOUR RS stand out.

for the badges, i dont think they are gay unless you do something crazy like replace rs badges with Z28 badges... thats gay, but if you made badges that say something truly about the car like V-6 badges or something thats cool... gt on cars reminds me of Ford's trim level, not chevy, z26 would be kinda jinting that its a "z" when its not... i think v-6 badges would be kinda nice... imaging showing up a v8 and he sees v6 on the groundfx...

there is someone on the appearance board that printed his own badges out... i not shure if i would change my badges, unless i found white RS tags...

From: pgh,pa,
from what i can understand....

he asked where he could get custom badges made, not what your guys thoughts or opinions on whether it was "gay" or "*****"

also comparing his idea to putting a type R badge on an accord isnt really accurate, since the type R is a real model and the GTZ is just a show/concept car, therefore if he is replicating the concept of the GTZ like he said he was, i dont think it would be as outrageous as puttin IROC stickers on your 83 berlinetta etc. etc.
but once again it is his car and he can do what he pleases!

and as for 1991tealRS-top guy:
most sign shops can do vinyl lettering and or silk screening, i would check out some of these places, I have seen badges that were polished stainless steel with z28 or SS silkscreened on them and look close enough to the originals that they dont look out of place, and they fit in the openings.
