dont know much about how much you can gain
guessing something like 10-25 tq and maybe 15 horse
but again tha is a guess
but dont most cams anymore break in within the first 30 min of driving them?

It's not even driving; it's the initial start-up of the motor that breaks the cam in. Crane has instructions somewhere on their website.
ok guys .... i did some searching and found the one for MY car a 2.8
obne of the best cams is crane cam 2030...
part number is 270-54122...which is for mid and uprange torque iand HP in camaros adn firebirds....(sounds good eh..)
well it costs 159.99 $ in jegs ...
and summit has it for 159.95$...
since its the dead of winter i cant put it in so im having someone do it who is asking for a 150$....
adn rx7speed the reason i asked about the break in was that i got my car rebuilt about a 6 months back and i had new cam put in (stock one) and it seems like only now after 2000 miles im feelin an improvement .... i donno if its cos of the cam breaking in...
and i also heard someone saythat u have to drive slowly for a 100 miles to get the cam to work fine...
whats ur opinion guys??
and for guys lookin for low end hp( for trailer and towing the part number is 270-254112- same price)

if you want to break in a cam all you have to do is hold your engine at a high(1800-2000 rpms) idle for like 5 minuts i usually do it for ten to be on the safe side. and do not forget to put breakin lube on the cam bearings lobes and lifters, if you are replacing them to (which i would do)

To get a good cam break in do the same as the initial "first" engine start after a rebuild. Let idle for a few minutes to get the lube off and the oil there. Then go through a series of slow up and down throttle rev's. Go from idle-1800 1st, idle-2200 2nd, idle-2900 3rd, idle-3500. Do this once or twice and the cam will be good to go on the street. I usually do the step meathod cause I have found it helps the bearings more then the actual cam to get broken in.
I have heard the cam can give the 60* family a good 15-25 TRQ and upwards of 20HP. I do not have Dyno results, this is G-tech and PC programs ect.
