I have never seen a TTA!!!! that is really depressing. Is anyone on the boards from south carolina that has a TTA....I bought this engine on a whim for $550 dollars. I think it was well worth it. Will my 700R4 in my current 3.1 RS with stand the mighty buick torque or will i have to have a rebuild? I was impressed by that 1993 firebird the guy put the 3.8 turbo in. He said he could burn the tires at 50 miles an hour if he floored it. 10.2/130+ quarter mile also. that is f***** up. the 3.8 really does impress me and that is why im AM GOING TO DO THIS. Ill keep you all posted i promise and put up a website with pictures on how to do this to help others out.

Peace out,
Evan

Your Buick engine requires a different tranny.
Buick Bellhousing bolt up is different.

You will also need the FWD Le Sabre Heads off a 3.8 to fit it into the Thirdgen Engine bay.

gopto www.turbobuick.com

Read up before you dig too deep into this. It will be easier to build on that enfgine out of the car.
I hope you got the Computer with it to. I would say the hard part is going to be putting in the new wiring harness and such, but shouldn't be too hard. If you have any questions you can email me at teletubbie98_99@yahoo.com

Half true. If he ditches the AC and modifies the headers then it will fit with stock GN heads. If he want's AC then he'll need the FWD heads.

Thats pretty cool. But, for all practical purposes, you are looking at the V6-V8 swap and them some.

When you get done, bring it up to Spartanburg. Or give me directions to Liberty. I will want to see that beast

Clayton

PS If Liberty isnt too far away, and you need a second pair of hands, gimme a call.

DO IT DO IT DO IT!!
Figure out a new way to have fun with another engine under the hood of these F-3s!
I'm sure a wiring harness can be fabricated.
How much is the Advance Adaptor plate?
Used to cost about $200-ish?

im going to buy the TTA wiring harness brand new from casper electronics. I cant wait to get it all hooked up. It will be a good learning experience. I want to keep the body pretty stock looking like a RS to really fool people when i get all this done. Yeah i do feel pretty lucky to have found such a deal. the grand national engine looks to be in very good shape. 83,000 miles on it. Appears to have no oil leaks or anything. the turbo and intercooler are also in good shape. Im happy very happy about it all :-)

Peace,
Evan
