EGR Vacuum lines Diagram or Picture....

Okay, my SES light kept coming on, so I did my codes, it was code 32.

Well, my car suffers from roungh idle, and I have 2 Vacuum lines that the previous owner decided to plug up with a bolt, and a another with a screw.

So I need A diagram, telling me where they go, so I can get a normal idle of the old girl, as well stop the SES light from coming on...

If anyone has a Digital camera, could you please take a picture of the lines by the EGR...

Thanks in advance

just look on the EGR valve, should be one hook up, just hook one vaccum hose to it and connect the other end to the vaccum side of the carb.

You may have to replace the EGR because the roungh idle comes from a vaccum leak some place else, might be the reason for the guy trying to plug off vacum lines with screws. But doesn't this car have electronic contrled EGR, thats why it sets the code????

I assuming it is MPFI? If so the vac line off of the EGR goes to a vac control solinoid. The VCS has 3 vac lines connected to it. 1 to the egr,1 to the box with wires going to the VCS(I think it's a vac regulator) and the 3rd going to the front driverside area of the engine compartment.

Under the throttle body that line will T off,it will go up to the top/back of the throttle body. The 2nd line to your throttle body will go to the fuel pressure regulator.

I just remembered there are 2 lines coming from the front corner of the engine compartment.I can't remember where it went.I'll check and get back to ya.I used to have a diagram but my pc crashed 2 months ago and I lost everything.I also have it on disk somewhere but god only knows where it is.

Here is a pic or diagram of the EGR area. It's a drawing but it should help.I had broken the small line connection going to the Vac control or regulater. Not sure which is which.I do know they are tied together with wires.

Thanx Kevin (The car is MPFI)
I've been busy the past few days but heres my problem, the Lines with the Green Questionmark had a screw in one and a bolt in the other, I am wondering where they go, if the Diagram isn't clear enough I'll make another one. (The line closest to this text has vacuum to it, but the one next to it doesn;t) Good or bad?

Looks like someone got rid of your charcoal fuel vapor canister! It should be by your airbox, front passenger side of engine bay...

Thanks Tom,
But will the lack of the canister be causing my car to have erratic IDLE?

I will take a look and see if the canister is gone, or just the lines are missing in a few minutes. Tom, do they both hook into the Canister?

The area with the green arrow pointing at it isn't on my car.The EGR soleniod on my 89 has 3 lines total.1 going in and 2 coming out.1 of the 2 go to the EGR and the second goes to the vacum switch.like in my pic.It has wires that connect the Vacumn switch to the solenoid. But thats it.
