Hey, i just my car back from the mechanic where i had the starter replaced. it starts like a dream now, but i've noticed significant power loss around 3000rpm's at the top of 2nd gear. anybody know what the problem is, and how i might be able to fix it? it never happened before i had the starter replaced, and the check engine light has been on ever since too, but i figured that had something to do with the computer. anyway, any help would be appreciated

it might be the early stages of your converter being pluged, or you might need a new fuel filter.

 

Check your spark plug wires. The last time I took my other car for a toonup he left off two wires hanging. It was on a V8
