A ckose call and now a problem

Well in an attempt to dodge a merging soccermom in a SUV on a cell phone, I had to floor it around her and made two sharp swerves. Well no contact but I think I busted my front shock. The front driver side shock would have been the one that took all the force as my car swayed. Any way, it sounds like it is losing air everytime I press down on the front of my car. My shocks are the original. So do you guys think it is about time to get new shocks. If so what type is the best?

Well, that air sound isn't usually the best way to tell if your shocks are bad. Lot's of new cars sound like that going over speed bumps and such. Anyway, if when you push you car down and it just come right back up, then they're fine. But if your car bobbles up and down a few times, then it's time for a change. Might as well change them anyway if you're planning on goin with a hi-po suspension. Good luck.
