Valve cover question

Hello members!
I looking for this set of cover at summit:http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ED...n/?prefilter=0
This set can fit on my 3.1L V6 too well?
I seen an owner installed same covers on his camaro, but i don't know it was 2.8L or 3.1.L So the covers has the same size parameters?

Re: Valve cover question

Close but not quite, 3.1 is a stroked 2.8, not bored. As for the valve covers, they should fit fine, though they might have slightly different hole for PCV valve, and the vacuum pipe that goes to the MAF(if 3.1s even have that). So the VC itself will bolt right up, might have to do something different with PCV and vacuum, probably don't need to though and if you do it would be simple.

So shortly the cover inside height the base shape (with the right gasket) bolt directly, i possible need some "homework", with those tubes?
Ohh here is the pictures, from the engine what i was talking about. (i mixed them together) And for the 4th pic, just a little photoshop, for color planning
The cab yellow is too crazy? I think looks good with black, and aluminum/chrome parts. And the red spark wires look some kind of veins of the car heart.

Re: Valve cover question

I don't like the yellow personally, but I don't like yellow in general, the blue is ok, though personally I would go with orange. And you don't need to do homework on the tubes persay, you'll know when you get them whether or not you need to do anything special, if you do, you should just be able to get a grommet or what not from autozone or advanced auto. It would be simple if at all necessary.

Re: Valve cover question

ok, thanks the infos,
But parts here in the other side of the sea, not as easy as in the sates.
No info no comparison so need to ask and dig lot on the net to find matching non stock parts for the 3.1L. I know it wont ever look as clear and cool as a Carb. V8, but i try to lift up they looking a bit.
