According to GM, the 3.4 puts out 160 HP & 195 Foot Lb of Torque.
NOW, that's with a carb (engine being sold for the S-10 vehicles).
I FIGURE, using the MPFI system, ya gain about 20 HP, so a good guesstimate is about 170-180HP, similar torque numbers. (for example, using the 1982-84 carb F body, to the HP of the 1985 MPFI engine, same car)
NOW, you adding what ya have, about 185 or slightly more.
WITHOUT CHANGING CAMS, only enhancing what ya bring to the party.
YEA, I AM CONSERVATIVE.
What ya do gain is a very efficent engine package, adding what you already have purchased, making your deal a STEAL!!
You loose nothing (all your pats swap), only gaining a better running car, not needing a rebuild, sooner.
How can ya loose?

I've been seeing a lot about the 3.4 swap and I just wanted to know if EVERYTHING will bolt up? Would there need to be anything else I would need to buy?

Elevario...everything from the intake to the tranny bolts up to the 3.4...also you should use the 3.4's injectors (19lbs)...

I GET ANOTHER NICKLE FOR THIS POST!!!
https://www.thirdgen.org/messgboard/...ML.001462.html
Read the past thread and give it thoughts. The problem part was the fan sensor, passenger side, back of cylinder head, at firewall area.
OH WHAT FUN!
But realize this, you're probably gonna go thru your tranny with the new power!
Honest, about everyone else who has done this swap, has wasted their tranny, too!
Not on purpose, but, the new power overpowers it. AND I EVEN WAS GETTING USED TO THE POWER and not punching it all the time.
Thi is a very worthwhile alternative to more power and rebuilding your current engine.
Cost is six of one, half dozen of another.
Effort is the same, too.
Read and ask away.
