Throttle Body coolant line ?

Whats the deal with the throttle body coolant line. i got a v6 2.8 heard that removing that increases performance should i even try this do i have it ? uhm yes... Help ?

It's to protect your TB from freezing shut. If you live somewhere that gets real cold you should probably just leave it alone. It could help performance if you remove it. Hope this helps.

it's supposed to make your intake charge cooler right?
guess it might help a little though I am not sure how much. exp when you intake manifold is prolly burning hot so it would counter act the effects anyway right?

I bypassed my throttle-body coolant line about 3 days ago. I haven't been able to tell that much of a difference. There seems to be maybe a touch more power when the car is at normal operating temp and I'm accelerating from below 30 mph.

Worth the 20 min. it took? Not really, because I have to hook it back up before it starts getting too cold again.

I had a very strong feeling that would be the real world response to what happens doing that option.
These engines are very high tech. ALOT of old school ideas won't make to much a true driving difference. IF ya searching for those few 1/10's maybe it'll help. But ya gotta drive the car in the morning, right?
