Cam for 2.8

I've been looking at cams for my 2.8 mpfi maro ,I know crane makes the 2030 .I saw someone had a PAW automotive cam ,I dont remember who but anyway ,Is a cam a cam , or is one brand better than another ? If PAW cam is just as good as crane for cheaper I might just get that ,What's better guys ? Ok this maybe a dumb question Plus would this cam work ok in a 2.8 engine if I put 3.4 heads on it ? Thanx in advance everyone Wayne

I can only offer what I've read.
I don't feel like getting into an arguement with someone else abut what I quote and what he thinks.
SO
that said,
GO SPEND $6 and get the GM Performance Parts book from ANY local GM dealer.
Look at the V-6 section and let your decision be made by those pages. Especially pg 137.
I just took a 1991 Mustang LX 5.0 guy for a ride in my 3.4 swap ride. He was very impressed and especially for the cost of my swap job ($800).
Buy that book and work from what ya read.
It really may help your decision (like looking in wrecking yard for cheap solutions!).

The crane 2030 cam is the only one beside what GM offers that will work with your CPU....

I had a federal mogul Speedpro cam in my car before the crane2030. It really messed my computer up bigtime, it ran rich and would die at idle. I bought the crane 2030 and installed a few months after the fed mogul and I;ve had no problems.

The GM book is GOOD READING. It shows ya alot of answers and gives ya lots of good thoughts for your ride. AND dealers are very happy to try and undercut other dealers for the business! And it shows why you cannot use the aluminum heads on our V-6 engines.

!!KED85!!

I remember you saying we should buy a 3.4 litre cam for a FWD and put it in because GM said it would give us more performance from our 2.8. Will this one effect the computer too?
