Help!!! My baby is dying I think!!

When I peel out and i do alot becuase I'm young and my car has some good low torque, but in the last two days when i have dont it, i get a big knock and it sounds like someone is hitting something in my car with a sledge hammer. If this helps at all in diagnosing, i usually keep my right hand on the ****fer(just somewhere to rest it when my girl is gone) but you can feel it throught the shifter. PLease help, and please *** just make it my rear end so i have and excuse to get the 3.73 posi now. I guess my cam and rocker arm project for later this month is off now...
sad,

Oh, might wanna be REAL REAL REAL easy on your car now. no flooring it cause when you do the engine moves, then the tranny moves, then you break a drive shaft, THEN you are ****ed.

Nah, you end up craking the exhaust manifolds first! It'll be the driver side, too.

all it is is your transmission mount. Replace it, and your car is back to normal.
Like $20 at auto parts stores and 45 min in the driveway.

Uh-oh, here we are again...

1/2 the people here with manual trannies said that the "normal" GM transmission mount, the one usually spec'd for automatic trannies, fit their car.

The other 1/2 said it won't, and they had to spend a ton of cash to dig up the correct manual-trans mount.

V8 guys say they use the normal GM transmission mount on their manual trannies.

Because of the V8 guys, I don't see why the normal GM trans mount won't work on the V6 manual trannies... and 1/2 the guys here have gotten it to work, so...

Does anyone have a picture of this weird $140 hard-to-find original V6 manual trans mount?

Ok, if he has a 2400 stall converter, he has an automatic transmission.

According to Autozone.com. Transmission mount for:
Year: 90
Make: Chevrolet
Model: Camaro RS
Motor: 3.1
Transmission: Auto

Result:

Brand: Anchor
Part #: 2672
Warranty: LLT
Unit Price: $6.94

This is the same part I put under my 89 Firebird w/ a 2.8. Gave me no problems.

Ah, okay; he threw me off when he said he felt the vibration thru the shifter. Thanks!

i once read that someone had the same "Hiting sound" and they found out that their frame was broken... so the had to get it welded to stop it from moving around...
when it moved around it made a big thump sound under the car... happened only on tight turns
