Poll: Help me choose my next car!

Well.. for a while it looked like i was going to get a 69 chevelle..but nope.. so im looking at a 1986 iroc tpi305 with 4.11 gears as its only mod, or a 73 z28 350 stock.. ideas? Iroc has full power and is a 5 speed. Z28 is all manual with a th350.. ideas? Their both right around 3300.. which is what i have to work with. The iroc also has the iroc 5 spoke rims that look cool as hell.

get a 89 RX7 TII :-) easily able to do 0-60 in under 5 seconds with under 300HP

I would say myself go with the 72 Z28. kinda biased though being I used to own a 71.
they make a nice car when all spiffed out. they just look bad *** . were to my opinion the 3rd gens are sleek and sweet

I like the 4.10's, but on a stock Z that will get ya moving fast.. It is hard to say. The 2nd gen is nice, but I would base it on this:

1. Who has woring AC
2. Who will resell the fastest
3. Who will go up in value
4. Who will be easier to restore/mod
5. What car is in the best shape
6. What car has the best body

I would say 4.10 gears is a bit much unless you got the $$ to pay for fuel consumption... It would be a great drag car... If you replaced the 4.10's with 3.73 I would say go for it! But... the second gens are quite awesome in thier own respect, theres a lot to be said for an all stock '73 if you resore it bak to original shape (how is it now?) You will lose the great manuverability that is attributed to the third gens of course, the second gens are best suited for the strip...

Ok so i am gonna get shot for this suggestion but...... get a old 70 to 75 maverick.... heres why. My 74 wieghs in at 2900 pounds stock - thats compareable with a fiero but, it comes with a 302 already installed. Now in 73 they had to goto the big bumpers (federal laws), that added about 100 to 150 pounds depending on what year you look at 70 to 72. A side not - the 70 was just over 2500 pounds, but they didn't come with V8's. Anyways, now after ya switch to metal small bumpers ya wiegh in at around 2750 to 2800.... Now ya go get a fiberglass hood and fenders, shave atleast another 50 to 75 pounds off the nose. Its prolly actually more cuz at this point you will HAVE to cut 3/4's of a ring off the stock springs to make it sit level. now yer dipping into the high 2600 to low 2700 pounds. If ya get a chance, goto a hp calulator and figure out what a edelbrock 302 rated at 362 flywheel hp will run ya in the 1/4. I stress IF you get a good hook as you will need lots of work to hookup at this point. Just a side note here. Theres afew mustangs in the area that run 302's. They wiegh in at 3300 to 3400 ready to go and they are pulling high 10 second 1/4 mile times. Imagine what a car that weighs 500 to 600 pounds less will do. If a 302 is not good enough, stuff a 351 stroked to a 396 in the fenders for around 600 hp. That all said, i know ya all know i am a GM and ford lover - so no flames please .

Personally, i still need to get my bumpers done and fiberglass front done, i am running LOW 13's on engine - i do have a bottle to add, but the car is already scary fast and is a handful with no power brakes on a 306cid. Taking a LT1 is nothen now and LS1's are fun to mess with. Only problem i am having now is i only got 3 gears, so i am redlined at 130mph while they can blow by me if there modded <----- redlined once in 3rd, that was a prayer time for me as taking a car 5 years my junior is NOT fun.......
