My friend has a 1991 Z28 305 TPI. Now he said when he was at the track, his car wouldnt shift into third at high RPMs. It will shift at low just fine but not when he is slamming on the gas fully accelerating. Does anyone know what this could be? Any info would be awesome. Thanks!!

Yep, the 2-3 WOT shift is a common problem, but it seems nobody knows why it happens.

Solution: Rebuild the trans

The guys on the actual Transmission message board might be able to give you more information. My original trans didn't complete a 2-3 WOT shift; the two rebuilt ones (after the original died) would.
