last night while i was working someone broke into my car and completly trashed my center console and ripped out my radio, i was so pissed since my interior is the bets part of my car, how much would it cost for a new center console and little panel thta goes over the ac and radio gonna cost me?

 

Wow, sorry to hear that! Probably $20 from a junkyard... don't grab the first one you see. Make sure the side supports (for the radio) are intact- they're plastic, and usually get brittle & snap. I had to rebuild mine out of 1/16" alumnium; they were missing when I got the car.

And some a-hole cut the back support out too; I had to rebuild that one. Everyone loves to cut that out of the way; apparently they're not smart enough to put an aftermarket radio in with the back support in the way!

First off 87_Camaro, i am sorry to hear what had happened..to your question about the items that you had mentioned ealier..Radio Trim Plate(this trim plate surrounds the radio and heater-A/C controls)NEXT generation has them for around 12 or 13 bucks(Brand New)As far as the console..don't know what all you need but Next generation also has them for around 200 bucks..it includes the folllowing..1982-92 Camaro/Z28 lower console,includes front/rear door brackets,ashtray,front/center/rear console brackets.left/right heat outlet ducts,left/right outlet bezels,all parts are GM..check out www.nextgeneration.com for any further info..Hope this helps.

thanks guys, yea tomP the supports that held the radio were ripped right out along with it, I was thinking of making the supports myslef also while i was at school today, thats pretty much the only thing wrong with my center console. The trim plate though has each corner where the screws go broken off so I need to buy another one.

I started gluing the broken off peices from the trim plate and center console back on, I think it looks about 80-90 better, the radio's wires are a mess also, i also saw the the secret light you guys talk about that has absolutly to reason for being there at all .
