Firebird gives all for my move, need a Fuel Pump & Radiator!

Hi All,
With aching bones, I'm back!
I finally have the computer up.
The NEW Home filled with "Stuff" (Some I haven't seen in over 10-15 years cause it was in storage).
But the Firebird rests at my Beach Condo for sale in Santa Monica.
Vacuum Leaks
Radiator
Fuel Pump
I cured the vacuum leaks with oil & 1/2" heater hose and more wiper washer hose.
Radiator, I'll get from the wrecking yard, after my injured wrist stops hurting so I can hold a tool again.
Fuel pump SUCKS BIG TIME!!!!
I gotta farm that out. I'm looking at about $400, incuding new AC Delco parts, strainer, fuel line and some type of stabilizer of vibration things attached to the pump itself.
I REALLY WANT TO DO WHAT I'VE READ ABOUT, Install a new gas tank (1989 & later) with the baffles in it, so I can really go canyon carving out where I live now and not worry about fuel stavation on turns.
So, I'm stuck driving my old Corvette (THANK YOU LOWER GAS PUMP PRICES!!!) and rearranging my life, Wife & Son (who is now almost 14 months, running up & down hallway!).
THANKS for ALL MY BUDDIES, HERE, the people who asked where I've been.
As I mentioned to Billy (awhile back), I would be taking a big, long break, due to this move.
But, man, is it worth it.
I now have my 1967 RS/SS Camaro uncovered, in my own garage. I worshipped it, the first night, after not seeing it (uncovered) for about 11 years. My Wife thought........
But, she's the only (past) Girlfriend who never rode in that car (have had many since 1984).
My thanks to all, tho.
David, I really appreciate the old Firebird hood.
Graeme, I appreciate the offer to help, hope we CAN connect up soon.
I'll be doing disc brake swaps on the old Camaros soon, and front subframe rebuilds, too.

Be chatting with all.
AND AGAIN, MANY THANKS TO ALL.

Especially Dale, too!!

Welcome back, Karl! Good to hear all's well... it's kind of odd to think something might happen to one of us, and we'd never know!

You might want to "skip" that pulsator.. that's the damper you're talking about. It "quiets" the fuel pump. It can also leak! It attaches to the pump & sending pipe with o-rings, not clamps. Of course, the chances of a new one leaking are slim compared to re-using an old one. I mentioned the pulsator a few times before, if you want to do a Search for it. If you go with the '89-up tank, let us know! The "baffle" for our fuel injected engines is really lame... more like a "little wall" than a baffle.

Even though I don't know you like these other guys do, I miss reading your long informative posts! It would be like TomP not coming on here for a while. I learned most of the stuff on my car from you two. So.......... welcome back!

Karl, long time!!!! Listen, if you need a Delco pump, i can get you one for cost plus 18% (10% for the salesperson and 8% tax).

Today I bought an Ignition Module, Pickup Coil, Mainshaft, Pole Piece, o-ring, and a copper shield for my distributor. The dealer list price is $174.00!!!!! Dealer cost would have been $94.00. I got it all for $61!!!

Lemme know if you need anything....pump, sending unit, strainer, whatever.

Dan, what the heck is the copper shield? Where does it go? Is this an "update" GM did to the newer V6's?

Hey Tom. I don't know the exact names so bear with me. You know the magnet thingy that sits just below the rotor? Well, the copper shield goes somewhere between that and the pickup coil. It's listed as just a Shield(PN 1989792).

HI All!
Tom, it's that 6 pointed item, I believe, that goes with the magnetic metal ring (?).

HEY DAN, I'M DEFINTELY INTERESTED IN YOUR PRICE COSTS!!!
I'LL EVEN DRIVE TO PICK IT UP!
Still out by Pasadena?
I have to swing out that way to buy a motorcycle battery, shortly.

David, I gave ya as many numbers as I had for parts. None of those people had anything else?
David, you'll have to visit Pomona swap meet & Long Beach swap meets for new parts leads.
TAKE A PULL ALONG RADIO FLYER WAGON & NOTE PAD for contacts and phone numbers. That's how I bring home my fenders and tires and seats and stuff I buy.

Tom, I haven't settled on the "new" tank yet. First have to find it at "my" cost (usually free, works great for me!! LOL).
And I have to await funds for this project. I am tired of gas swishing around in the tank, tho, on turns.

I AM REALLY EXCITED ABOUT HAVING THIS "OPTION". So the search continues.

Graeme feels I can score one in a wrecking yard. I do not want to remove it myself, tho! I still ach from my rebuilding project, especially wrist. Hurts to type, right now, and hard to hold a wrench.

Thanks all, Be chatting soon.

PS
10 Lbs of pressure at idle DOES indicated worn out fuel pump, right?
