???my rear end whats wrong with it???

I own a 92 camaro rs. its a v6. when I first got the car I was able to spin both of my wheels. I did something to it and now it spins one tire and it knocks. I asked other people about it and they told me I had a limited slip rear end. that doesn't explain the knocking! I want to fix it asap because im selling the car. please help!! I would like some tips on how to fix it in the cheapest way possible. thanks

Well if you spun the tires all the time, you probly broke something. The 10 bolt is not known for its strength. Other wise narrow down the "noise" knock, all the time while moving, varies with speed?
If it varies with speed you did break something. if its constant its probly a bearing or maybe a guide.

If it was a posi you may have broken an axle or stripped the splines on the end of the shaft.
just a guess.

Does it do it when you accelerate hard or normal? If it happens only when you accelerate hard it's wheel hop. which is your rear end bouncing around. There's not much you can do for except add a few things to help reduce it. also replace your bushings with better ones.

If it happens all the time you torn or bent somthing back there. Do a physical inspection to see if it's any thing obvious.

that posi unit must be an after market then. I don't think the 92's came with posi stock.

Or, maybe the previous guy knew something about cars, and swapped in another f-body's axle?

The wheel hop noise might be made worse if it's beating the hell out of a worn-out shock! If the shocks are the original '92 units, replace them.. same with the front struts.
