headers but of course

I am in the process of negotiating a benifical deal for both parties to get the headers from the guy on ebay. The deal would come to me paying him around $1000 overall. This is of course a deal where he gets a little off(around $20) of each of a predetermined number of sales(between 30-35). Right now it is looking VERY good. Just thought that you all might want to know whats going on.
Hey clock you want to be first in line?...

Sorry forgot one thing. Right now I am looking at around $150ish per set so its not a bank breaker mod. I will also be making a Y pipe as an extra part, maybe $25-30 Just FYI.
Please no requests yet the deal is not quite done yet, but it looks like it WILL close. I will let you all know when they are ready. I will post the pics on my site through a special link on the main page(Trust me you won't miss it) comparing the two side by side. I do have a few things to buy before I start making them like a mandrel tubing insert so I can make sure they stay as round as I can get them.
One more thing these will be non polished 18 gauge stainless steel. So yes they will be paintable, or just leave em shiny.

Now as far as payment goes I do have paypal, and I will have the link to the UPS web site on the header page so you know what the S&H will be. I will get them weighed as a set. Now this will not be including packing material so it may be off a little. The origin ZIP will be 62999, I will also post this on the site so stay tuned. For those that do not know the site addy, its www.geocities.com/GenerationXRacing I will also add it to my member URL homepage here so it can be reached that way.

Now as the person posted/asked right after I posted this Preorders. Right now No. I will not take them. When I am nearly finished with the set I will post links to the pics ect.ect. Then I will take orders in bunches of 5. 5 nothing more. It may go up depending on how long it takes me to produce a set, If I can do 2 sets a day then it will be 10. But right now I am setting it at 5.
Any other questions please email GenerationXRacing@yahoo.com If you email the link in my profile here it will be a while since I hardly check it anymore. I think I have answered the questions that are burning. others I will will take care of 1-on-1.

I do not mean to be a pest, but I really dont wanna buy the headers from you or ebay,I've had my car posted for sale for awhile. Sure they would be good to buy and sell for more because of there rareness that was my whole idea. I would like to apoligize about the smack I sent you about when you emailed unkind lines by me, but I didn't like it when you dropped F bombs at me. So I had to deliver some of my smack. I apoligize, and everyone out their who was entertained by this I thank you, because thats what I go to school for, I'm only one name and I run some smack on people if they drop me some unkind lines. I hope hunters weekend went well and good luck on the headers. Peace, Love,& Bon Jovi.

I don't see a problem in leaving this post open as long as it doesn't turn into a "bashing" section like some of the previous post.

Camaro_Hunter_D keep us updated on your progress b/c I am sure that the closer you come to completion the more people that will be interested...I for one am interested now...Maybe if the deal with the guy falls through you can get one of the guys that already have a set to loan you theirs, either way I think that the moderators of the V6 board should get a set free

lol... Well if this does go which it looks like it is it will be a good deal for everybody concerned. And wayne thanks for the support. I know I could charge alot more for these and peps would probly pay it just so they could get 'em, but I want to keep the price down, material is not a big cost, just the labor of the assembly.

ok I should be getting them sometime this week. So 3-4 weeks after that they should be ready. As far as ordering is concerned, I will take orders from either direct email to generationXRacing@yahoo.com or from the link to be entered into on my site. For those that are completely lost stay tuned I will post all the details on my site and I will also post when they do become available here.

No THESE headers are full length and will NOT be compatiable. However the headers that I will be making FOR the turbo set up will be obviously. But I also have to figure out how to "move" a few things around in the engine bay so we can keep all the accesories.

As the continuing updates come it. I Have sent payment to the guy for the headers and I am sending him a overnight shipping label today(so this can get even more confusing I am shipping the label overnight to him). To those that have been to the site you know what the big green link looks like. Told ya it would be hard to miss!.
I should have these in my posession in 2 days. I am still however looking for an affordable mandrel tubing bender. So when I get that the work will begin.

I'm starting to shoot my header bolts with liquid wrench today... just to aid in the removal...

One question CHD, are these headers going to be street legal, with EGR (I assume that's what makes them legal)?

The EGR thing. I do not know if the originals have them. I will know within 2 days from now. Will it be hard to cut the tube and weld on a bung fitting for it? no. I will now more in 2 days. I am still tring to find a good TUBING BENDER range 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 and 2, I tried that Northern Tool but I can't get the page to load. I am still waiting on replies from retailers about other Tubing benders and Mandrel Bending Inserts. I will let you all know now that by using the inserts I will have to spray a little oil or something inside the tubes, so they will blow smoke a little untill it evaps off completely(But I think that is low on the concern list).

I don't want to be pesimistic but a "cheap manderal bender"? I looked into this a few years ago and cheap was like $10,000. I hope I am wrong because I want headers two. I have a harbor freight bender that does not work very well. If you put sand in the tubes it works a little better though. My advice, don't waste $200 on a harbor bender. Another option might be to start with other headers and modify them to work for people. Just an idea....
P.S. I hope I am wrong about the manderal bender price. Please forgive me.

I am not looking for a hydro bender, just a hand bender. I have found some for 700, and I have email around 7 companies today looking for something a little cheaper.

Just FYI CC, the harbor freight benders are for pipe, not exhaust tubing thats why it works like *rap. I did a little research on these. If nothing better it will just be a little longer for the 700 to arrive.

SWEET! I think I'll take a set of the headers also, since my y-pipe to my 3.4 headers is really nasty and I need a new one anyway. I'll drive to Zeigler myself to pick them up, let us all know when they re done later!

Ok guys the deal is now this. The guy is sending them to me tommarrow so I will get them friday. Now I know I said I would not take preorders earlier, but that was before I thought I could get a decent mandrel bender for under 300. I am looking at 7-800 PLUS S&H. Now realize I am EXTREMELY HESITANT to take them. I would just much rather already have them at least in "prototype" but the money needed is requiring the opening of the possibility.

Again I am very hesitant to do this, but if you do want to preorder I will take them. I know it will take me at least a month to get the money togeather to get this bender. I will send you a Contract/Bill of sale in email form.

And to answer the question's earlier, S&H is determined by UPS charges. Origin Zip is 62999 wieght will be approx 20-25 pounds(No garantees). I am do have an account with paypal yes.
