arcing near plugs

arcing near plugs
i saw a arc near my front plugs it looks like the metal plug covers do i need these and if so any idea on how to stop this / is it normal

sounds like you need some new plug wires, these are heat shields, I would leave it and replace your plug wires. Make sure the shield is not chafing on the plug boot.

the ignition power is going to take the least resistance path to ground. check you plug condition and that the wire is on ok. If that looks good sounds like some cheap set of wires.
