2.8 V6 Idle Speed Adjust

Can one adjust the idle speed on a 2.8 v6? it is the multi-port fuel injection. It seems to me that it idles a bit fast. Is it just a matter of adjustment?

What's the idle speed, both hot and cold? Should idle about 1200 cold, dropping to about 700 hot, under ECM control.

If you are going by the stock tach, likely the tach is bad. See the sticky's on the top of the electronics board.

If that is a true RPM the IAC may be bad or there is a vacuum leak.

Check the adjustment on the TPS. The output voltage between the blue middle wire and the black wire should be .55VDC. Then go from there.
