Clutch issues

Hey everyone! I was helping my friend out today with his clutch. He replaced the Clutch master cylinder because it was starting to lose pressure and he noticed it leaking. Bench bled the damn thing twice and spent a solid hour bleeding the system. Somehow... somehow there remains no pressure at the pedal! Odd thing is there is no fluid leaking from the system, no air in the system, and everything is put together correctly. My friend spoke with the parts store guy and he said that the pressure plate is most likely no good. If everything else we did was correct.

What else could it be? I don't want him to spend the money and me do the clutch job and still have no clutch... I'm not very familiar with clutches so I was a bit lost, but used my knowledge to try and rule out any issues. I think the plate might be bad, he was having issues with his clutch anyways and wants to replace it.

Perhaps someone with more knowledge could give me some insight

Thank you!

Re: Clutch issues

While someone is pumping the clutch pedal, the slave cylinder should be moving the clutch fork, so look at it.
