Wiring questions.

I recently took off my cruise control. Now I have three unidentified pigtails under my dash on the drivers side. One hase two heavy gauge purple and yellow wires. The 2nd has two smaller purple and pink wires. the third is an even smaller single black wire. I am pretty sure all of these connected to the brake switches on the pedal. can anyone set me straight. i looked at schematics until i was ready to cry.

Re: Wiring questions.

The purple and yellow fat wires are for the clutch start switch if you have one... Purple and pink go to the brake switch. Don't think the black wire has any use.

Don't cut anything... Someone may want to swap to a T-5 in the future (if you end up selling the car) and may need the clutch switch connector, or you may need to jump it to get the car started if you end up having a problem with the neutral safety switch. The pink/purple connector is the brake switch connector for the cruise control, which tells the module to turn the system off when the brakes are applied as well as venting the vacuum from the modulator (cruise brake switch is also a vacuum vent).

Re: Wiring questions.

I had it wrong... You need to keep the pink/purple connector... The purple wire is the TCC wire. The cruise wires are gray and brown and are on a second switch.
