Lifters...

As most of us know, V8 lifters are not compatible with 60*V6 lifters, but you can take the springs out of the V8 lifters and put them in the 60* lifters for better performance.

I am in the process of trying to retrofit the LS7 Lifter mechanisms into the 60* body. so far, I've got a set of 60* lifters, and the LS7 lifters in order with USA Performance, here in Pensacola.

I'll keep everyone posted as to what happens!

flat tap or roller? I'm referring to the 3x00 roller lifters.

Re: Lifters...

ahhh i modded the hyd flat tap lifters, u could prolly mod the roller lifters the same way though.

basically the way i modded mine makes them sort of a hybrid solid/hyd lifter

Re: Lifters...

I took 3 lifters apart today,

1 3400 lifter

1 "LS7" lifter

and

1 Comp Magnum SBC Lifter.

The comp and the LS7 were nearly identical. I also found that if you machined the piston on the V8 lifters down a little bit, you could install them in the 60* and turn them into solid lifters.

Pics tomorrow
