Im stuck with my mothers 83 berlinetta while im putting my trans am back together. it has the carburated 2.8 in it and it just started misfiring today at a higher rpm. When its cold it will run alright, but when accelerating it will start misfiring at around 3000 rpm and will idle normal when you let off the throttle. It has a bad thm 200 so it takes a bit to get the thing to move.
Just last month i had to put timing chain and gears on it, new tps, new coil, cap, rotor cap, and plugs. Any help would be appreciated.

cain we take it that everything wired back correctly (read plug wires & such)?
It was running good until today. i have the timing set as the label specifies under the hood and the wiring is correct. I did the work to it a little over a month ago and it is her daily driver.
just checked the pick-up coil (.929 K ohm)
coil came loose from the grounding plate and the fuel pump went bad.

so your car would idle fine and when you went to drive it it would sputter and shut off and not crank back up. and then it would crank back up after letting it sit for a minute
