ok well I have a stock 7R4 and i was thinking about having it rebuilt but I want something that's going to hold up to the abuse it's going to receive on the track...I was thinking about getting one from monster because of their 3 year unlimited warranty that and their track record heard from a lot of people that those transmission take a good beating and are hard to destroy!
I'm looking on opinions as to who to go with, experiences and everything.
And before anyone tries to chime it in I don't want a 5 speed manual....
also for the trans I'm getting a manual valve body so it can be shifted at will and drive like normal in D and (D). oh and does anybody know where and which drive gear I need for the speed to clock my 3.73's correctly because its gone up a couple hundred rpm, but I'm trying to take of this all right now because taxes are coming and my motor should be ready this weekend I hope!

May want to post this in the transmission and drivetrain section for a quicker answer. Some may answer but im sure alot of members dont look in the v6 section often..

i always built my own , unfortunatly the kits i used to buy are now discontinued , i would talk to dana at probuilt

 

do their transmissions last and what's the warranty on them because I would like more then a year on mine to honest. and has anyone tried a jasper transmission either?

 

jasper is junk, dana's transmissions are one of the best out there

 

doolie noted! so between monster and Dana I'm assuming....so warranty is my main concern then...does dana have a warranty similar to monster...and do they also come with a drive gear? I never looked up dana transmission so I would seriously like to know how they stack up to monster! because I know with monster for everything I want, TC included it's no more then 15 and it comes with 3 year unltd warranty and they ship it for free
