1991 3.1 daily Driver, one of the Best Cars on the road.

So I got my 1991 Camaro 3.1 Auto, paid 1800 for it. I Got it, Put 4 tires on it, new fuel pump, Fuel injectors, front and rear brakes, rear wheel cylinders, ball joints.. Changed the Orifice tube for a 90's ford Taurus, its Blue. WICKED NICE AND COLD NOW. Its Stock rear end. it has 220K miles, and newer motor back in 2000 Mileage unknown. But heres why its a Best Car.

I bought it at 180K. its a 220K I have never had to walk. It doesn't smoke. Starts RIGHT up like a new car, the Exhaust is the Original. Its like brand new, Parts are SO cheap (except the EGR Valves) and SO easy to diagnose.

I went From Charlotte, NC to Myrtle Beach yesterday. squeezed 4.4 gallons. went 134 Miles. That's 30-mpg. and the A/C was on about half of the miles. 80% 45mph-70mph. 3-4 stop signs. I Love this car. Its not a powerhouse. But its a Relaxing Cruiser. And I love driving a Car only a few other people have. (I have only seen a dozen, and probably the same 3-4.

I have the same year RS 3.1, I bought it with 180,000 miles on it. She now has about 254,000 miles on her and she still runs like a champ. It has been way more dependable than my 89 IROC with 46,000 original miles by far. I will always have a place in my heart for my little 3.1 91 RS. She has never let me down.

Paid $900 for mine 5 years ago. 96k Original, it has its issues but I love it at the end of the day. 127k miles now and a 3.4 swap later. It still gets me around.

Very nice cars fellas!

I paid $4,200 for mine in the fall of 2002 it had 33,900 miles on it. I used it for a daily driver for about 8 years! No major issues only maintenance cost. Love my car and will never get rid of it. Id love to own another daily driver V6 thirdgen but im picky and want another 91-92 Rs and that one would stay 100% stock.

I started around 16/17 but with new injectors, Seafoam, tune up parts etc. I now get about 22. Could probably get more with an ecm tune.

Re: 1991 3.1 daily Driver, one of the Best Cars on the road.

I'm in the process of squeezing everything out of mine.

Switched to 165 ECM $6E, T-Bird MAF, heated O2, disc injectors.

Currently in the works of doing the DIS ignition, and aluminum driveshaft.

I retrofitted the A/C. New accumulator, o-rings, orifice tube, oil, and compressor. Followed with an overnight vacuum and a refill, I wouldn't say super cold but it's ok. One thing that ticks me off about these engines is how the belt slaps when the A/C is on...but maybe it's just my car. I even bought the little pulley that goes between the alternator and crank.

The march of technology. Just did about 600 miles in the Acura. 3.5 N/A V6 250hp 280ft/lbs torque mostly 80-85 mph cruise and 27 mpg!
