5/32" vacuum hose terminates near smog pump

I have a 5/32" vacuum hose that comes from a tee near the intake and I think it goes to the air distributor (air management valve) behind the smog pump. The hose is shot and needs to be replaced, but I pulled the old hose near the smog pump off the connection and I can't find where it was hooked up. Would taking the alternator off help? I've got the car on some low ramps and spent a few minutes looking with no luck. Any advice?
