A/C Replacement Woes
Hello everyone,
So I have finally decided to get the A/C running in my 92 3.1L Camaro.... When I got the car somehow the PO broke the short hard line (low side) and it was still attached but clearly wrecked... So a long time ago (2 yrs) I went to take that line off and the condenser end of that line was completely seized and it broke off the condenser. So I have finally decided to get back to that project. And bought a new condenser on Rockauto, it came in and looked like it matched up 100% (minus the low side fitting that I no longer have on the condenser). It bolted up and i got everything back together. When i went to install a replacement hard line that i bought off of a forum member 2 years ago. the line fitting is smaller than the condenser fitting. So obviously it wont work. So now i do not know if the condenser is the wrong part? (Rockauto no longer has any so the part or picture doesn't show on the website) OR if the line is incorrect for my application?
Not sure if any of you guys with 90-92 3.1L 's could look under the hood and let me know what your looks like. top fitting larger than the botton? Take pics possibly? I cannot find any pictures online of these fittings. And i have tried for a few hours with no luck.
Also anyone parting out 3.1L A/C stuff I might be interested in that line, if the one i have is the wrong one.
Any help would be great!
Thanks

Re: A/C Replacement Woes
I will take a look later today if I get a chance but no promises I'll be able too. Funny thing is, my AC is also not working at the moment. Last year the compressor locked up and I haven't had time to replace it since, so I've been enduring the South Carolina heat all summer as it's my dd. Itll be nice when fall rolls around haha
