2,8 throttle body on a 3.1. VAC question.
2,8 throttle body on a 3.1. VAC question.
I have a 2.8 tb on my rebuilt 3.1. i am wondering if the idle air bypass hose can be routed to any vacuum source? right now i have it routed to the port on the back of the plenum. it will idle like this, but will not idle when it is disconnected. also the ccv valve I just put a cone breather on the hole. will this be ok? The car has after market valve covers and only has two holes. one hole on each cover. thank you guys. its good to be back working on the car again.

The engine won't idle because your setup is wrong. You need to connect the port on the back of the intake to the port on the throttle body.

Having a breather filter on the valve covers is fine. Wont hurt the car. Just make sure you cap any lines that could cause a vacuum leak.
