power

i have a 83 Firebird S/E with a 173-cid V6 107hp im looking toadd some more power with this engine im having trouble finding aftermarket parts for it ie...carb,intake manifold i have the engine stripped down now looking for performance parts for aded HP any suggetions would help thank you

Most likely not going to get more power from a carbed 2.8. Not power that would be worth the money anyway.

Get heads from any 85+ 2.8/3.1/3.4 engine. They have bigger valves and flow much better. Ideally, you would want to get a whole engine that is 85+ since the bottom end is stronger. Have you looked into a 3.4 swap yet? If you are determined to stick with your engine, there are still lots of mods to do, but you're going to be restricted by your heads. You can do a cam, roller rockers, headers, catback, intake/carb, theres a lot to do.
