All right, you 3.4 swap smarties, here's a question.
Ok. So I'm now 6 months after my 3.4 swap, and it's 99% not problematic (still crosses fingers). But, I do have one little issue. When I first get the car fired up, it runs extremely rich, to where it smells like gas, and there is gas smoke coming out of the tailpipe. After it gets warmed up, say a mile or so of driving, it goes away, and on any startups when the car is warm, this doesn't happen. I assume that when it is running rich as snot when the engine is cold is the result of it running in open loop, and once the o2 is heated enough, etc, it reaches closed loop, and the richness goes away.
So, to make a long question longer, should I perhaps look into one of these chips that has the correct fuel tables for the 3.4 vs the 2.8 JUST to fix an open loop issue? Or should I just be happy that my little ugly beast is running and smoking tires when i least expect it?
To further explain my swap, I did use the 3.4 injectors, FPR, and ditched the cold start injector (it's Florida, and I had to use the 3.4 LIM, the 2.8 was shot), capped EGR and there is no cat, never was when i bought it.
So there ya go, smarties, let's get an answer.

Need to change the injector flow rate within the chip. The calibration is set up for smaller injectors, so with the same air mass rate the injectors are being opened for too long of a period of time.

RBob is right on the money. Although I did use 3.1 injectors and didn't have a open loop richness issue. My car just ran rich all the time, but if I remember correctly the 3.1 and 3.4 injectors are the same.

I thought the 3.1 were 15# and the 3.4 19# ?

The 3.1l injectors in our cars are close to 16.5 #/hr. Simple enough to take the BPC value in the calibration and reverse the equation, spits out 16.46 #/hr.
