Nothing is working!

This seemed like the most appropriate thread to post this on. I have done multiple google searches and have found nothing, hoping you guys can help me out. I have a 1985 firebird S/E im 16 and its my first car and im trying to get it road worthy. The other day i went out to start it, put the clutch in, went to turn the key and all the lights went out in the car and the engine stopped trying to start. The fuses in the car look good, so i was wondering if there is a fuse somewhere under the hood that i might have blown that isnt letting anything get power. If there is a fuse like that could yo also tell me where i can find it. Really love this car already and want to get it on the road.

If nothing whatsoever is working , no lights /wipers/heater/horn , nothing , well then it's either the battery , the positive wire going from the battery to the big lug on the starter , or the ground wires from battery to block or battery to frame . There IS no one single fuse or fusable link that will kill each and every electrical device in the car all at once .

My guess is that you have one hell of a corroded connection somewhere in the above mentioned wires , and that your problem will be found there ...

Re: Nothing is working!

Not sure if you found your problem but it could also be a bad contact on those terminals make sure they are tight on there. Battery cables should not wiggle.
