92 rs not turning over
Hey guys I need a little help. I stopped the engine only to find it wouldn't start back. I've got lights gauge and radio all working. Everything works as usually just Jo action when I try to crank. I tried jumping it but no dice. It is automatic. I get nothing from the engine, no movement or noise (that I can notice) any ideas of what may be wrong? I haven't been able to try much because she is stranded but I should be getting her home soon.

Does it click at all? My first guess is the starter is bad, try tapping it with a hammer and see if that gets it. Also make sure the car is in park or neutral, it won't start otherwise. Wiggle the handle on the shifter while in park and try again. When mine is in neutral it won't start again unless I push on the shifter a bit while I crank

Hi there,
Is that hum coming from around your back seat area? If so, that's some good news. That means the fuel pump is coming on when you turn the key, so at least some of your ignition circuitry is okay. Sounds more and more like a bad starter, or something bad in the starter circuitry.

Re: 92 rs not turning over
Sounds like a VATs issue. It prevents the starter from cranking along with preventing the fuel injectors from firing if the engine does crank (bad or bypassed enable relay).
Check the security light on the dash. If it stays on, its a VATs issue. Clean the chip in the key and wait 10 minutes before trying to crank it again.
