Well I was driving the 92 home from work (12:25AM yea working at the mall around christmas sucks!) and I take off kinda hard from this light cause no one was around (near me) and I notice this white C4 vette pass me pretty hard. Im not really a guy that has to race every single car that he sees so I just kinda chill and think "wow that was pretty cool. it sounded nice." So he puts on breaks to see my reaction. Guess he wasnt used to guys not taking off after him. So I just chill and he slows down to get next to me and I know this 4 lane straight coming up and I look down it and there isnt many cars at all. So I figure what have I got to loose. So I slow down to 50mph where I can take full effect of 3rd gear. The Vette was still about 2 cars ahead of me waiting on me to take the bait. So I drop it and pull on him and pass him hard and put on my brakes after I pass him just like he did me. So he floors it at about 60 and I put it in 4th and floor it and to my suprise the Vette only pulled about 3 cars ahead of me by 85mph. I was very proud of my little girl. But thats not where the story ends... We race up to about 85-90mph and I notice the Vette's head lights hit the car in front of him and I see SHERIFF and I say to my self "OH ****!!!!" and I know the Vette was thinking the same exact thing cause right as I slammed on breaks he did the same thing cause I was just gonna roll down to the speed limit (easier on breaks) and so the Vette quickly rolls into the next gas station he sees and I didnt want to so I slowly fall back to about 35mph in a 50mph. And the whole time the cop is putting on his breaks now and then for no reason at all. I was scared shitless cause my next ticket makes my insurace go up 40%. So I turn off on this back road that is a "short cut" that takes me up and around the mountain to my house. So still feeling good I just bomb the **** out of that mountain road and I LOVE how well my 3rd gen handles over my 4th gen. And I got my hawk pads not too far back so I let them have it too. 2nd and 3rd gear the whole time. And it is about a 2 mile mountain road, VERY FUN (but very dangerous). I took it so hard that when I finally came to the stop sign at the end of the mountain road I stopped and you could see my breaks smoking. So I sat there a min and let them cool off and then I went the rest of the way home. Just thought I would share my fun lastnight.

 

Holy Sh*t man!, thats awesome, i'm def puttin on a flomaster and CAI, i want to be able to stay close to an 80's vette...haha my cars all stock now, hopefully soon to change!

From the looks of how the Vette acted vs my friends turbo Clipse it seemed like the Vette had something around 200hp. It was ugly as **** tho! I looked so much better. I know the flowmaster tips and the exhaust tone got me that race. Oh and another thing this was with a FULL tank of gas. I put in 93 octane to clean out the fuel system cause I got the rear and front nose repainted so it looks new and the guy had it for over a week and a half (long story) and when I got it back she was suffering from sitting for so long. And when I put in 93 it seemed ALOT stronger. Go figure.
