Does a 1985 Firebird 2.8 have a crank fuse?

Reason I'm asking is that on all the other diagrams it shows a crank fuse but not on the VIN S diagram. I'm wiring an alarm that interrupts the starter but it can only deal with 18 amps. If the wiring is a 3 amp load to the solenoid that's fine, but if it takes the full hit through the ignition switch that's like 200 amps!!

Any help will be greatly received!

So forgive me I'm wrong but according to those diagrams they're for an L4 not a V6?!

Bottom line =

The only thing carrying something close to 200 Amps on startup are the two big wires from the battery . One to ground , one to the starter . ALL other wires in the car do not carry anything close to that kind of power . If you splice your starter interrupt in the circuit that engages the starter solenoid , the one that powers the solenoid's "S" terminal , you will have it in the right place .

Thanks for the info. Any idea how much the solenoid pulls?
