Re-visit " the no mod turbo" ?

Re-visit " the no mod turbo" ?

Ive had this one on my watch list for several years now. My intentions are to do as little as possible. In the early days folks found the stock MAF system could handle 5-7psi, I have no intentions of going beyond that. basically just bolt it on, plumb the oil line n air tube and go. stock ECM, stock MAF.... I got more money now and I do have the interior out, my intention always were to put it right off the stock Y pipe, pass floor will have to move out of the way, if I backseat delete, the seat can be moved back a bit.

I dunno, just hitting that point once again where I need to change things up to keep my interest. done nearly every body mod ive wanted to do [ other then wide body rear fenders ] I also have no intention of getting into the constant mod and upgrade trap. 5% gains and turbo whine will satisfy me for years.

only way it works is with 19# injectors and the maf on the turbo inlet , will run ok under boost and rich everywhere else.

and it would be cheaper to do the front mount off the stock y-pipe then it would be to put the turbo at the end of the y pipe under the car

doing the floors has been a bigger project, [ ended up grabbin a anew welder cheap, taking part of the week off to get going ] but still thinking of grabbing the turbo just so if its sitting here, I can't ignore it.

mine already runs rich as is, 60s muscle stink rich, thinking it would sort of even its self out really.

ohhh though with so much of the floor exposed not sure where I can put it yet, but I do NOT want the cramped under the hood of piping look, or any need to remove the Y pipe or manifolds, can't even get in there, I know every bolt will snap.

my other wacky idea was to "hotwheels" it, with the turbo cut into the front fender 1/4 area, backward scoop on fender, but MAF n filter on end would make it stick out more.

I have a half-made log manifold and some 36lb injectors I could sell you if you wanted to go that route. I live about 40 minutes north of toledo so I'm sure we could meet up somewhere.
