Since the classifieds are still down, and I've got enough other problems to deal with and I have a line on another car, here it is.

1991 Firebird 3.1L Auto, aero package, ttops, no cat, MANY MANY MANY new parts, lots of work done. 140,000 miles originally, odo reads 2,500 miles. Runs great, drives great, needs front lower GFX and an alignment, maybe tires if the buyer is picky. Power locks, power windows, power mirrors, etc. Headliner is cut for an overhead console. I've got at least $3500 in the car, but I'll take $2000 for it as it sits -minus the leather 4th gen seats. I'll put the cloth seats back in. If the buyer wants the leather it'll be another $500.

Damn thats nice, i wish i could afford it now. If you still have it in 2 months, I would probably buy it, but, I doubt you will.

 

Its hard to say, it'll probably still be around, but who knows. If the car I'm looking at sells I'll probably just stick the bird in storage till things are going better for me.

 

Drew, email me a list of the mods....you say it's been CUT for an overhead console....I'm assuming that the overhead console IS in there, right? I'm kinda interested....depends on if I can find a buyer for this 4th gen. I miss my 3rd gen too much and don't really care for the styling of the 4th.

 

I literaly have $4000+ into this car. I say the headliner is cut for an overhead console because I had an overhead console in the car. I can throw one in but it'll cost extra. I'm trying to cut my losses and maybe pick up a Fox body mustang I've been eyeing for awhile. I figure anythign insignificant that I can remove that'll make me feel better about lowering my price will be better served to remove. Otherwise if I left it all there I'd want an arm and a leg for it.

here's what I've replaced, some parts have been new, others are used.
Transmission (used from 92 bird)
TCC solenoid (used)
VSS sender (new)
foglight bulbs (new)
injectors (at least 2 complete sets, cause the salvage yard sold me junk)
airfilter (K&N)
foglight switch (used)
foglight (used)
bulbs, lots of them
cupholders (new and used)
fuses lots of them
exhaust from cat back (new)
cat eliminator pipe (new)
oil guage sender (new)
UX1 radio/cassette/eq (used)
drivers power window motor (new)
passengers was replaced before I got the car
rear tires (used)
trans mount (new OEM rubber)
Fuel pump (new)
water pump (new)
front brake pads (new)
cap, rotor, wires, Bosch platinum plugs (new)
TB gasket (new)
TTop storage clips (used)
battery (new)
serpentine belt (new)

here's the parts I've repaired
door panel
steering column
injector wiring
passengers door gfx
foglight wiring
spoiler (repainted)
front GFX but they broke again (long story)
headliner (needs to be done right, just bandaid'd it)
dashpad (not quite finished)
locking lugnuts (removed)
tint (removed)
trans coolant line

Here are the parts I added
WS6 front and rear swaybars (used)
poly endlinks (new)
overhead console (used)
4th gen seats (used)

The airbox has had the restrictive neck removed, the timing is set to about 12* advanced, the TV cable is set perfect, and its in perfect tune.

I've got a lot in this car, I just don't know if I want to keep it.

But they are butt *** fugly. Not to mention boxy as a brick. If you can find a coupe then install cobra gfx, with cervini stalker front it will be nice loking though.

 

yep, its a constant debate. If I can get these fuel injectors sold, and possibly these cupholders I'll be able to finance the rest of my interior project. If the guy that wants my seats would seal the deal with me I'd probably keept he car... at least for awhile.
I'm kinda on the line... one minute I'm thinking ya, mustnag would be cool, then the next I think about the L98 I want to build for the V6...
