In that case, this might be a better deal.

I am also only going by what is in that post, so I can't guarantee it is 100% correct.
But it does seem to be.

Is your setup the small or large diameter distributor?
Does yours use the separate external coil?
Do you even have room for the large diameter one?
thanks for the input!
Small cap right now. External distributor separate, mounted on the passenger side cylinder head.
I do not think there is enough room for a large style cap right now, the carb is already pretty close to the distributor to begin with. These engines really were small.

I already have rotor and cap waiting for transfer as long as dimensions remain the same as well.

Then the 301630 is what you want.

Re: Planned Tear-Down and Rebuild on 2.8L LC1

Purchased. Should see it in 2 to 4 days. Then we can really dial it in to proper timing and see what's what! Also, Monday/Tuesday I will be replacing the valve stem seals on the driver side to finish the full swap and I should see zero oil damage to plugs from there on out. It completely cured it on the passenger side so that aughta be good there.

Unfortunately the car slipped off the jack at one point and smashed the crankshaft pulley. It's okay for the belts I still have but it damaged the front main seal and I am seeping some oil there, as well as a small seep at the oil filter adapter, so both of those will need replaced. After that, it just needs a new steering pump (very small leak) steering gear (old one is worn out and leaking slightly) pitman arm and tie rod ends on the driver side, and a good week of tlc and paint, and it will be all done.

Replaced the Distributor and timed it into place today, it behaved much better than expected! Also gave it a good oil change, buying the vacuum line I need tomorrow for the vacuum advance, for now it's just using mechanical advance, but I will say this, its like something woke up inside it. I could feel more power simply driving the two blocks from my parent's garage to my home. Can't wait to get a day and really see what it can do! First, a few more repairs though. Will touch back when I have more info!
