Search the board for both and you will find a much more detailed answer.

Headers,

You will only find them used. Allthough Camaro Hunter is working fabricating repo's.

Turbo and Supercharger,

You wont find a package deal for any thirdgen 60* V6. This doesn't mean you can't make one fit, but it will be a PITA and cost lots of money.

Search the V6 board for turbos and superchargers and will find quite a bit of info.

Yes it can be done. It will not be cheap, but it isn't cheap for any ride. I would consider NOS first. Dollar for dollar you can't beat it. Plus you can run a 75HP shot on a stock motor and run 90-110 with just forged pistions.

If you do the super swap just buy the super and not accessories since you ahve to fab all them anyway. It will be cheaper. In the end you'll be lookin at 3-4K depending on if you do the work. Also you will ahve the same power gains as NOS witha super in the end.

there is not kit made for a 60* v6. if u have the money and know a good speed shop it is possible tho. on another board i found a couple days ago when searching turbo v6s, there is a forum there decidaced to development of a turbo/supercharger kit for a 3.8. then they plan on modding it for the 3.4. if that ever happens, the 3.4 kit should work on 3.1, but ull probably have to rebuild the bottom end or ur engine and upgrade to 3" exhaust.

If the bird is your only ride, start w/ headers first. You should be able to get a super charger for a 3.4/3.8 to work, the fun part will be mounting it. I think powerdyne would be best for this. If you want to turbo it, & have "decent" salvage yards around you, look for a salvaged turbo grand prix & snag everything you can from it.

Anything can be made to work. It all depends on how much money you want to sink into it. Considering the high number of supercharged or turbo'd f-body 2.8/3.1's out there, it might not be worth it. (Do we have a confirmed report of ONE 2.8/3.1 f-body yet???)

The 3.8 TTA motor used thinner heads to fit between the strut towers of the 3rd gen f-bodies. I think JasonE told us that the heads are really 3.3 V6 heads... you might want to search the archives on it. What this means is if you find a Buick Grand National 3.8 turbo engine in a junkyard, you can use the motor, but you'll need to put new heads on, and you'd have to figure out the wiring harness.

turbo T/A = new tranny. I'm going to look for some of those turbo gp around here ( finally got to hide some money from the wife before she spent it) I'm ,hpoefully, going to snag the injectors & draw the routing fouting for the wastegate vaccum tubing & get whatever else is needed, or atleast the prices.

keeping fingers crossed that I WILL be one of the few, proud, non-T/A turbo cars.

Hey Project why not just build the trans from scatch? Buy bullet proof case and build it up. That way you'll know for sure what the trans will take.??? Its not hard. Well maybe, I have rebuilt turbo 350's and there a cake walk.

grand prix gtp?? they have a 3.8 w/ turbo from the factory.. there turbos dont work on a 60* v6.. i really wish they did tho.. i know, for me anyways, it would be the easiest way to turbo my car.

the late 80's/early 90's grand prixs were turbo 3.1 not 3.8. They hade aluminum heads & different exhaust, but were stil 3.1, someething to think about.

I know there is a turbo made for a GM V6 60 degree engine. I am pretty sure there are several more. Design 1 makes a turbo for 2.8L Fieros. Be aware the Fiero has a H.O. version of the 2.8 and produces 140hp so it should be fine with the 3.1L v6. Hope this helps.

There was also a guy that went by Dennis LaGrua who designed his own turbo kit for the 2.8 motor. He did it pretty cheaply and had his plans on the net. Unfortunely I can't locate his web page.

Found one more on the AM-Works website.
http://wwnet.fi/amworks/index2.htm

They make turbos for whatever you need.

Here is a link to pics of a plain turbo for a 2.8 Fiero.

Here is a link to pics of their 500hp turbo for a 2.8 Fiero.

If these fit in a Fiero, they should have no problem in a Third Gen.
