89 RS 2.8L *Manual tranny* air pump delete help!!

What are the steps of getting rid of the AIR pump on a manual 2.8 v6. I wonder if it is tricky because standards come with the deceleration valve that is hooked up to the throttle body. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, took mine out, ordered shorter belt. Have to look at the exhaust manifolds where the air goes too, they will need welding up or blocking off , basically take anything off and back track anything that was connected to it lol block it all off.
i have no egr, air pump, air con, Dec valve, charcoal canister, cat, can't think of anything else right now ! Just tried to get the engine to be an engine !

I took mine off too, it had no impact on the decel valve.

Correct me if im wrong, but the air pump has a vacuum hose that goes to the decel valve

What did you do to get around that

Not long with a basic tool kit , socket set , like I say just kept taking stuff off and backtracking it all to get pipes as small as poss then blocking them all off . Egr needs a blanking plate putting on on the intake manifold.and exhaust of you take all that off , spare bit of sheet metal , an angle grinder and a drill can whip them bits up quick .
