CAM and more question?
I dont really understand you guys sometime, some of you say go with a Crane CAM (2030 I think) but most of you guys said just go with a 3.4 engine. Well anyways I dont think I can install a new cam anyways, so it would have to be installed and I think that would cost alot.
Also last summer I got brand new exaust the factory type with the double outlet out the muffler. Should I just go with some brand new aftermarket exaust or what.
Well anyways with a 89Firebird with 2.8L engine with 100,000 miles on it whats the cheapest and easiest way to make around 200hp. I'm already making a CAI so that will help too.
Well for now I'm saving my pennies for a new paintjob, I already got 91-92 Ground effects, 85-90 Front end with GFX pieces 85-90 TA taillights and a 2.5 inch fiberglass cowl hood sitting in my garage with my baby bird

Why not do the cam yourself? Buy a good shop manual ( http://www.helminc.com , sometimes Helms are on Ebay), and you can do it. You'll also need a gasket kit (Felpro, from a "real" auto parts store, $30), and like Brian said, you better do the timing chain at the same time since you'll have to take the old one off anyway! Look at my thirdgen page for a 2.8 stripped to a block; you won't have to remove the heads, tho. http://www.geocities.com/tomp_3rdgen
The Dynomax Super Turbo cat-back (WLK-17493 from summitracing.com) is your best bet for the price, and you can do it yourself, too.

I tend to aggree with Tom, it seems no one is ambitous anymore in doing things themselves. There is nothing worse than someone having a built up car, and when you ask them a question about intallation, what they thought of the parts installed and they have no idea what you are talking about.
If you want the power your going for; you going to need the cam. If you don't have the money to have it installed, then install it yourself.
Or better yet, why not try to find another camaro buy the engine out of it, and install your mods on it. Once you get it finished swap it in? (But then I would recomment the 3.4L)
