Need help deciding if to buy this 1991 3.1 v6

Saw this Firebird on FB marketplace. It was listed $2500 and is in okay shape. Owner says car runs as should but need new water pump as it can't hold water to drive. I am trading my 2005 dodge Dakota for it. Is there anything I should look out for if water pump is bad? Do you think this is a fair trade?

there is a little hole under the water pump shaft if the seal is bad it will leak coolant out of there
also look out for leaking coolant hoses especially by the heating system there are lot of little hoses
if its blows white smoke out of the exhaust the head gasket might be blown
