2.8 stroked to a 3.4

Does anyone know what kind of numbers (horse torque) I will be looking at with a 2.8 stroked to a 3.4 with a good cam, exhaust and what not, and whats the best possible quarter time I can get with the engine (15 or a 14?) and a good torque converter and a 700r4.
Thanks
David

I know a guy in Indiana that obtained a running low milage 3.4 for $500.
Put it into his car like I did.
Cheapest engine swap rebuild you can do is that.
Want power & quick car & back on the road quick?
Do the 3.4 swap.
So far I think, 18 people have done that swap.

89blackbirdkid- I am on the north side at Oklahoma Christian University on the border of edmond... If you know where memorial rd is between kelly and bryant then you found me. E-mail me anything else so I dont get the moderators ticked rf805@yahoo.com.
KED85- I have been told that if I drop a 3.4 in that it will be much harder then just strokeing my 2.8
Is the engine pretty much the same to where I can just drop it in?
I would go 350 but Im not quite ready for that kind of power yet.
I wont need the car all summer so time really is not a problem.
Thanks
David

David,
Do a search on my title
"2.8 to 3.4 Swap Boogie" by me KED85.
Read it and then read it again.
Then go open your hood and check out what I also mean. Ask any questions.

I have a question for you KED, why did you swap the oil pan?

Ked I just printed it out and I think that would be more usefull then a Hayes manual

I think Im gonna go with that swap. Im just tired of a 2.8 with 130,000 miles on it....

Hehe; try driving one with 227,000 miles on it!

Oh and FYI: The Planters "Flamin' Cajun Crunch snack mix" is not hot at all.

well I also think I blew out the overdrive... the suspension bushings are only half there and I think my motor mounts are destroyed.
FYI to all
locking up the brakes and ramping a curb IS BAD
I COMPLETLY riped the y pipe out banged up a few other things abent the two front wheels to the point they wont even hold air destroyed the tires and motor mounts... It took all sumer to fix.

I swapped pan to guarantee that engine would go right in place in the old style frame rails.
AND
Also need the 1985 oil pan to mate with the old 1985 timing chain cover & water pump, to ensure that all old 1985 pullies, etc would line up correct and no problems.
Yep, that's why.
Ya need to recreate exactly, the original removed 2.8 engine, to ensure everything works well, for LONG trouble free miles.
It's real boring in the end (visually it looks just like a 2.8!), but, man this engine boogies!
